Nottingham Panthers forward Matt Alfaro is the guest on BBC Radio Nottingham this evening (Thursday 8th January).

Alfaro will join host Arun Verma from 18:00 on In The Game - the weekly show featuring ice hockey on the BBC.

There'll be reflection on the season so far as well as a look ahead to this weekend's Elite League action.

Former Panthers Head Coach Jonathan Paredes will also be on the show ahead of his French club Angers coming to Nottingham next week for the Continental Cup.

Continental Cup excitement under a week away
There's under a week until the Continental Cup Final at the Motorpoint Arena.

The exciting revamped format creates the biggest European tournament ever to be held in the UK and the six-team tournament will run from Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th January 2026.

Group fixtures will take place between Wednesday and Friday with the medal games being held on the Saturday.

Panthers play their group matches on Wednesday 14th January against HK Mogo (19:00) and on Friday 16th January against GKS Katowice (19:00).
