Nottingham Panthers have signed Canadian forward Nolan Volcan for the 2025-26 season.
The 27-year-old joins the Panthers after two seasons with ECHL side Fort Wayne Komets where he scored 50 (25+25) regular-season points.
Volcan amassed over 250 points, including more than 100 goals, in a prolific four-year spell as junior in the WHL with Seattle Thunderbirds.
He spent two seasons as Alternate Captain, which included winning the playoffs in 2016-17, and was named Captain in his final year with the Thunderbirds.
The forward played three seasons in college in the USports league for the University of Alberta and won the West Division title in 2021-22.
Volcan said: "It's an honour to be joining the Panthers and I am excited to hit the ice as soon as possible.
"Some of my former team-mates play in the league so I am aware just how good a league it is.
"When I spoke with Omar (Pacha) and Danny (Stewart), Nottingham felt like a perfect fit for me.
"I can't wait to meet my new team-mates and the supporters and be part of this fantastic hockey club."
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Getting Nolan in is a really key signing for us. He's plays a really gritty game with skill.
"He had a great career at the University of Alberta and a couple of great junior years as well.
"He's got ability with the puck and without the puck he's very dependable. He can feature on the penalty-kill and powerplay and has an offensive upside as well."
Volcan will wear the #64 jersey for the Panthers.
