MATCHNIGHT PREVIEW: BLAZE V PANTHERS
It's gameday for the Nottingham Panthers with a visit to the Skydome to face Coventry Blaze in the Elite League (19:00 face-off).
Panthers are currently top of the table with a one-point lead over Cardiff Devils. The Blaze are in eighth with eight points from their opening nine games of the 2025-26 season.
It's the first meeting between the two sides in league play this season, but Panthers won 3-0 in the Skydome in the Challenge Cup back in September as Kevin Carr secured a 33-shot shutout.
The Blaze have won their last two games on home ice with victories over Guildford Flames (5-3) and Fife Flyers (4-1).
Panthers have excelled so far on the road this season in the Elite League with eight points out of a possible 10, including last Sunday's 4-1 victory in Fife.
View from the Bench
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Coventry work hard at both ends of the rink and on both sides of the puck.
"With the dimensions of their rink I think you have to simplify your game a little bit there.
"We have done a good job of that so far (in smaller rinks) and I think that's down to the buy-in from guys.
"You don't have as much time on the puck and you do have to be aware of it."
