It's gameday for the Nottingham Panthers and a trip to Northern Ireland to face Belfast Giants (19:00 face-off).

It's a clash of two of the top three teams in the Elite League with an intense battle going on in the standings.

Panthers lead the way on 43 points from 27 matches with Cardiff Devils on 40 points. The Giants are third on 38 points but have played two fewer matches.

Sheffield Steelers - who lost 5-3 on the road at Glasgow Clan on Friday night - complete the top four and have 38 points in 27 games.

Belfast have been one of the form teams in the Elite League in the past couple of months and have lost only three of their past 16 matches.

Tonight's game ends a run of four away games for the Giants with their only defeat in that time against Coventry Blaze on 4th January.

Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "It's a massive game. Our approach has been all year 'who's next?'

"This is the business end of the season. Our guys have been made aware that every game from now on is a playoff-type game.

"Belfast are a heck of a team and one of the strongest teams on paper and on the ice and we will certainly have to be at our best."
