Nottingham Panthers host Katowice of Poland this evening knowing victory will secure a place in the Gold Medal Game of the Continental Cup on Saturday.

There are only under 800 tickets left so you are advised to secure your seats as soon as possible for what is set to be a cauldron of noise.

Katowice are backed by 400 passionate supporters and with the #PanthersNation as passionate as ever, it will be another one of those special Motorpoint Arena nights.

Panthers beat Mogo of Latvia 4-0 in their opening game as Kevin Carr secured an impressive 20-shot shutout.

Brendan Harris, Didrik Henbrant, Bryan Lemos and Zsombor Garát were all on target for Danny Stewart's side.

Katowice had a real battle last night before finally beating Mogo 3-2 after a shootout as former Panther made a winning return to the Motorpoint Arena.

Bartosz Fraszko was the game-winner as the shootout went to sudden-death.

What's needed to progress
Any type of victory will be enough for Panthers to reach Saturday's Gold Medal Game, whether it be regulation-time, overtime or a shootout.

A regulation-time win for Katowice would see the Polish side go through to the final.

An overtime or shootout win for Katowice would see both teams have four points in the group stages, but the first tiebreak criteria is head-to-head results so Katowice would go through to the final.
