Former Nottingham Panthers Head Coach Jonathan Paredes will return to the Motorpoint Arena next week for the Continental Cup with French side Angers.
The popular Frenchman was in charge of the Panthers in the 2023-24 season and will always have a special place in the hearts of the #PanthersNation.
Paredes joined Angers ahead of the 2024-25 campaign and led them to the French Cup title last season, as well as being named Coach of the Year.
Angers came through the semi-final stage of the Continental Cup back in November, finishing top of the four-team group with two wins in three matches on home ice.
Paredes said: "I am so looking forward to coming back to Nottingham again and coaching in the Motorpoint Arena. It will feel strange being on the away bench for sure.
"The Panthers are a special club to me but if we (Angers) are to win the trophy, we may have to beat them to secure success.
"It will be great to see old friends and to listen to the incredible support from the #PanthersNation.
"The format of the tournament is exciting and I am sure fans are set for four days of incredible hockey."
Format
The six sides are split into two groups with the group winners playing for the Continental Cup title on the Saturday night. Saturday will also see the placement games which will determine where the other sides will finish in the tournament.
Blue Group: Panthers, Katowice, HK Mogo
