PANTHERS SIGN PROLIFIC SCORER BRENDAN HARRIS

Nottingham Panthers have signed prolific scorer Brendan Harris for the 2025-26 season.

The 29-year-old American landed at Heathrow Airport this afternoon (Tuesday) and will train with his new team-mates for the first time tomorrow.

Harris joins the Panthers from Jacksonville Icemen in the ECHL and has scored at a point-per-game for the past two seasons, including a team-high 66 points (21+45) in 66 matches in 2023-24.

Harris ripped up the scoring charts as a junior including a remarkable 98 points (23+75) in 57 games with Wenatchee Wild in Canada.

The forward spent four years at Bemidji State University in the NCAA and his team-mates included fellow new signing Ross Armour and former Panther Adam Brady.

His first professional contract was with ECHL side Wheeling Nailers where he played alongside Matt Alfaro and Tim Doherty.

Harris moved to Jacksonville midway through the 2021-22 campaign, spending three-and-half seasons with the Icemen, which also included a short stint with Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League.

"It's great to be linking-up with some of my former team-mates again and to be coming to Nottingham on the back of such a great season for the club with that playoff success.

"I know this can just be the start for this club and I am excited to help push the Panthers to continue to compete for trophies. Winning is the best feeling and I want to be part of it in Nottingham."

Panthers Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "Brendan is a dynamic signing for us. He brings a combination of speed and creativity that will make him a very effective player over here.

"He’s been a mainstay in Jacksonville for the best part of four seasons. He has the ability to play big minutes and immediately helps our offensive firepower for this season."

Harris will wear the #83 jersey for the Panthers this season.
