Jason Grande made 39 saves as Nottingham Panthers produced a superb performance to win 4-2 on the road at Sheffield Steelers in the Elite League.

Just three days after a winning the Challenge Cup in Nottingham with a 3-2 victory over Coventry Blaze, it was another memorable night as Panthers went into the barn of their arch-rivals and secured a huge two points.

Steelers lead at first intermission
Sheffield dominated the first session - outshooting the Panthers 24-1 - and Grande made a string of great saves including stops Kevin Tansey and Robert Dowd.

The hosts took the lead when Evan Jasper fed Joona Huttula at the backdoor who turned his skate to redirect the puck past Grande (10:54).

For the Panthers, Chase Pearson shot just wide from the slot and Jordan Kelsall went close short-handed.

Armour and Lemos score in second period
Panthers turned the game around with two second-period goals which started with Ross Armour scoring from close-range after a scramble around the net (21:11).

Grande made a huge save to stop Mikko Juusola from the slot and also denied Mitchell Heard.

Josh Tetlow fed Didrik Henbrant who used his speed to gain the zone and set-up Bryan Lemos at the top of the crease (31:01).

Marcinew and Stridsberg goals help secure two points
​Matt Marcinew's superb snipe beat Eamon McAdam as Panthers made the perfect start to the third period (40:57).

Jasper redirected Brien Diffley's shot past Grande to make it a one-goal game (51:54), before Jakob Stridsberg wrapped the game up into an empty net with a shot from his own zone (59:08).
